Pyjama Day for McLean Care Foundation

On Wednesday 21st September 2011, McLean Care Foundation in Inverell hosted a ‘wear your PJ’s to work’ day. Staff had the opportunity to wear their PJ’s to work and enjoy a morning tea in support of the AMDF and Stay in Bed Day.

Amanda Harmon, staff member of McLean Foundation, who herself suffers from mitochondrial disease, organised the event in the hope to raise awareness in the community and possibly raise some money as well. Many members of the community and staff at McLean Care donated to the cause and raised $583.75 for the AMDF- and outstanding accomplishment!

Thank you Amanda Harmon, staff at McLean Care and members of the Inverell community. Your wonderful contribution was a terrific achievement, and one that will help take Australia another step closer to having a cure and better treatment for mito.
