On Tuesday June 28th Illaroo Road Public School, located in Nowra, hosted a Pyjama Day fundraiser. Students and teachers, donating a gold coin, wore their pyjamas to school for the day to raise funds for the AMDF.
The fundraiser proposed by David Nelson, father of two students affected by the disease, was run by the Student Representative Council. This initiative raised close to $500 – a great achievement!
With supporter events such as this, the AMDF can continue to provide support for suffers and their families, fund mito research, as well as raising awareness of mitochondrial disease.
Thank you, David Nelson and Illaroo Road Public School for your support, and congratulations on this fantastic achievement.
