AMDF Ambassador Selected for Ashes
AMDF Ambassador Selected for the Australian Team for the Ashes
Exciting news for cricket fans – AMDF Ambassador Pat Cummins will represent Australia in the first test of the Ashes. Over recent years Pat has supported the foundation’s work, including its awareness and fundraising events such as Stay in Bed Day and The Bloody Long Walk.
“Representing Australia in the Ashes was always my childhood dream. I’m fortunate to have the energy to play world-class cricket, but sadly many people affected by mitochondrial disease don’t even have the energy to get out of bed. I have seen first hand the devastating genetic disease this is that robs the body’s cells of energy, causing multiple organ dysfunction or failure. I am proud to be an Ambassador of the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation which supports those affected and funds research into urgently needed treatments and cures. Please find out more and make a donation at amdf.org.au.”
Good luck, Pat, and thank you for your continued support.
