AussieMit 2018 Registrations Now Open!

Register now for Australia’s most important conference into mitochondrial research! AussieMit will be held on 29 November to 1 December at the Bio21 Institute in Melbourne. The conference brings together biochemists, geneticists, microbiologists, system biologists, clinicians and students to explore mitochondrial science and advancements in the latest diagnostic, treatment and preventative options for mitochondrial disease (mito).

Leading researchers will give presentations alongside students and early-career researchers. Professor Sir Doug Turnbull, who pioneered the mitochondrial donation technique in the UK, will be joining a number of esteemed national and international speakers at the conference this year. Visit the AussieMit website to find out more about this year’s speakers.

The main conference will also be accompanied by a Young Investigator Symposium, a conference dinner, an Australian Genomic Mitochondrial Flagship Workshop and a free Patient and Family Day which will focus on topics that are of interest to the mito community including symptom management.

Abstract submissions to speak at AussieMit are also open. Early-career researchers and students will be eligible to receive prizes for both poster and oral presentations and travel grants will be available.
